There are many die-casting defects encountered by aluminum alloy die-casting mold factories, which endanger the finished products of die-casting and bring unnecessary trouble to subsequent procedures.
The main manifestation of casting depression is surface unevenness, resulting in shallow pits or pits inward. The reasons for its occurrence include: 1. Production defects. During the cooling process of the casting, the cooling time inside and outside the casting is inconsistent, and during the solidification process, the shrinkage inside and outside is inconsistent, resulting in deformation of the outer layer of the casting, which is the formation of a depression due to the sinking of the outer layer. 2. Defects in the mold. If the cross-sectional area of the gate and runner of the mold is small, the resistance to mold filling will increase, which can easily lead to dents. 3. Defects in craftsmanship. Excessive temperature of the melt and mold can also cause dents. Therefore, we need to take necessary measures to expand the cross-sectional area at the corresponding location. 2. Reduce the melt temperature and increase the cooling water appropriately to cool the mold. 3. Keeping the exhaust system unobstructed can be checked in design and use.
