1. Zinc alloy has the characteristics of low crystallization temperature, low melting point, easy filling and forming, less porosity, less mucosal formation, and can extend the service life of die casting molds.
2. Zinc alloy has high mechanical properties and can be used for die-casting various complex and thin-walled castings. Its castings can undergo various surface treatments, especially with good electroplating properties and good room temperature performance.
3. Zinc alloy undergoes dimensional shrinkage after being cast into castings, and the synthetic composition has a significant impact on dimensional changes. Zinc alloy die castings without copper have relatively stable dimensions, while generally, the dimensional changes of zinc aluminum alloy castings are not significant.
4. Zinc alloy has a narrow working range. When the temperature is below 0 degrees Celsius, its impact toughness decreases sharply, while when the temperature exceeds 100 degrees Celsius, its mechanical properties significantly decrease.
5. Zinc alloy is prone to aging, which is manifested by volume expansion, decreased strength, and decreased plasticity. The main reason is that impurities such as lead, tin, and cadmium have too little melting in zinc. Therefore, the impurity content should be strictly controlled during material selection and smelting.
