What to do if there is a cold lap on the surface of zinc alloy die-casting parts

2024-01-17 hits:0 source:News

Many friends may be unfamiliar with zinc alloy die-casting, but in fact, its application range is quite extensive and can involve various industries. However, do you know the reasons and solutions for the occurrence of cold shuts in zinc alloy die-casting parts?

  Cause of occurrence:

  1. Two streams of metal are connected to each other, but they are not completely fused and there are no impurities between them, resulting in extremely weak bonding between the two metals

  2. Low pouring temperature or low model temperature

  3. Incorrect alloy composition and poor fluidity

  4. Incorrect gating and too long flow path

  5. Low filling speed

  6. Low pressure

  Solution:

  1. Appropriately increase the pouring temperature and model temperature

  2. Increase injection pressure

  3. Increase the thickness of the inner gate appropriately while increasing the injection speed

  4. Improve exhaust conditions

  5. Properly configure alloy composition to improve fluidity

  6. Avoid overheating
