Methods for Improving Mold Hardness in Zinc Alloy Die Casting Plants

2024-06-21 hits:0 source:News

The reasons for this are: 1. The mold section is too large, and the steel has poor hardenability. 2. The quenching temperature of the mold is low, and the heating and insulation time is insufficient. 3. Insufficient tempering and high tempering temperature. 4. The temperature of the quenching cooling medium is too high and the cooling is insufficient when the mold is quenched and cooled. Based on various causes, we can summarize the solutions: 1. Choose the correct type of mold steel. 2. The correct selection of quenching cooling medium and cooling method requires strict control of isothermal temperature and time. 3. After quenching, the mold should be tempered in a timely and sufficient manner, and the tempering temperature should be prevented from being too high. 4. For molds with high hardness requirements, cold treatment can be used. 5. Perform surface strengthening treatment on the mold.
