The deformation of zinc alloy die castings has two characteristics: one is overall or local deformation, and the other is that the geometric shape of the die castings does not match the drawing. The reasons for this situation include: poor casting structure; Opening the mold too early; Improper setting of the top rod results in uneven force distribution during ejection; The gate position is too thick, and cutting off the gate is prone to deformation; The rough surface of the mold results in high resistance and deformation of the product during ejection; Excessive mold temperature may cause incomplete solidification of the casting, or excessive force during ejection may cause deformation.
For the problem of deformation in die-casting parts, we can take the following measures:
① Improve the casting structure, adjust the mold opening date and pressure retention reasonably; ② Reasonably set the ejection position and number of ejection rods; ③ Change the gate position to reduce the gate thickness; ④ Strengthen mold surface treatment to reduce demolding resistance; ⑤ Control the temperature of the local mold to maintain thermal balance of the mold.
