The difficulty of customizing zinc alloy die-casting products lies in die-casting molds
Zinc alloy die-casting products are very common in our lives. Most zinc alloy die-casting products are made of public molds, and anyone can buy these products from die-casting factories. However, almost all high-end zinc alloy die-casting products are customized, which can bring greater competitiveness to die-casting products, but also bring many difficulties, such as die-casting molds being a major challenge.
Die casting mold is a necessary tool for producing die-casting parts, which directly affects important indicators such as the quality, production efficiency, and die-casting cost of die-casting parts. Obtaining a die-casting mold with long service life, high precision, and good stability is what all customizers and die-casting factories want. To manufacture such a die-casting mold, the first step is to design it. The design of the mold is based on the product, so customization always requires either a 3D drawing of the zinc alloy die-casting product that needs to be customized or a sample. If neither of these are available, it is impossible to customize.
With drawings or samples, mold design can begin. The rationality of mold design is very important, which is the fundamental link for whether the die-casting mold can play a role. With the drawings of the die-casting mold, it can be made. The production of the die-casting mold includes three steps: material selection, processing, and strengthening treatment, all of which require technology and experience. After passing these three steps, the mold can be tested. Mold testing is the inspection of the die-casting mold. If it passes, it can be officially put into production. If it fails, the mold needs to be repaired.
