In the processing of die-casting parts, cleaning is an essential step during electroplating, and most problems are related to cleaning. If not cleaned, defects such as spots and stains on the coating may occur.
The water quality for cleaning is a prerequisite, and the water quality requirements for electroplating cleaning are very strict. The cleaning water used varies depending on the process and plating type. According to the process, we can divide it into two major points. 1、 The pre-treatment cleaning water does not require high water quality, and the cleaning water before electroplating can be met with tap water. It is best to use pure water for the final washing before entering the plating tank, as pure water contains magnesium and calcium ions, which can affect the plating layer, causing the plating to become brittle, foggy, and striped. For cost considerations, it is best to use pure water for the first rinse of the plating tank, so that the first rinse water with higher concentration can be recycled and reused. 2、 Temperature is also a key factor in electroplating, and it is best to use hot water for hot washing of electroplated parts before drying.
