The role of controlling pouring temperature in aluminum alloy die-casting process

Aluminum alloy die-casting is a relatively mature die-casting process, and the aluminum alloy die-casting parts produced are widely used in various industries of society. Aluminum alloy has a high melting point, which leads to a high pouring temperature during the production of die-casting parts. Therefore, only cold chamber die-casting machines can be used, and more efficient hot chamber die-casting machines cannot be used. So, what is the impact of the pouring temperature of the molten metal during the aluminum alloy die-casting process?

The pouring temperature during the aluminum alloy die-casting process has a significant impact on the mechanical properties of aluminum alloy die-casting parts. The mechanical properties of die-casting parts will improve with the increase of pouring temperature, but once a certain limit is reached, the mechanical properties of die-casting parts will rapidly decrease. This is because as the temperature increases, the gas content in the molten metal will increase, which in turn affects the performance of aluminum alloy die-casting products; Moreover, the increase in temperature will also increase the iron content in the molten metal, which will reduce the fluidity of the molten metal and cause coarse crystallization, thereby affecting the performance of the die-casting parts.
