Regular maintenance of molds by die-casting plants is a key measure to extend the lifespan of molds, and proper storage is also another measure to extend the lifespan of molds. By combining the two, the number of times molds are used can be increased. Now let's take a look at how die-casting plants maintain and store molds.
1、 Mold maintenance
1. The disassembly and cleaning of the mold should be carried out by professional personnel. During disassembly and handling, do not cause severe collision of the mold, which may lead to damage.
2. Before mold assembly, apply silicone ester evenly to the runner to avoid corrosion from gases and moisture during long-term storage.
3. When assembling the mold, spare parts (such as screws, threads, etc.) must be coated with high-temperature lubricating grease.
2、 Storage of moulds
1. The storage area for molds should be dry, ventilated, clean and tidy.
2. Avoid storing corrosive items.
3. The mold should be placed on a dedicated storage rack to ensure its safety.
