  The electroplating process used in our common zinc alloy die castings accounts for a large proportion of the finished products, and electroplating also plays an auxiliary role in the beauty of zinc alloy die castings. However, do you know why zinc alloy die castings need to use electroplating technology? Because zinc alloy die castings are mainly made of zinc alloy, which is a reactive secondary metal with poor chemical properties and is prone to reactions in air, a protective film needs to be coated.

  Before electroplating, zinc alloy die-casting parts should be treated before electroplating, otherwise it may lead to electroplating failure. The first step is to understand the structural characteristics and chemical properties of zinc alloy die castings. The second step is to remove wax, mainly aimed at completely softening and dissolving the polished wax oil after treatment, achieving the goal of cleaning the surface. The third step is to remove oil, which is to strengthen the adhesion between the plating body and the substrate. The fourth step is activation. After oil removal, there is still a layer of oxide film and hanging ash on the surface of the die-casting parts. If not removed, it will affect the adhesion after electroplating. The fifth step is cleaning, pre dipping, and pre plating.
